From the womb of thirsty ground
Lotus hands cupped it, and lay it around
The sun came rushing to inquire
The Wind flew in, to carry it higher
And higher onto the bed of clouds
Mesmerized in the heavens, the tear rested...rested and rested...
Until one day, wondering what is its purpose in the horizon?
Asking the eagles, why was the tear born?
Eagle said, to fly high!
Asking lightening, why was the tear born?
Lightening said, to strike in the night!
Asking the thunder, why was the tear born?
Thunder said, to awaken the new bride!
Asking cloud why was it born?
Cloud said, to merge with the sky!
So it flew high...
It struck in the night...
Roaring, it startled the new bride...
Making love, it merged into the sky...
One day, storms came and tossed it around
Finally the tear remembered why it was born
It was born to glow in the memory of its beloved
Glisten in the eye of the God
Now it descended from the heavens
Sneaked into the beloved's eye
Here it awaits silently, for the beloved's cry!
